Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Welcome to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) which meet each Thursday evening at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre, following Mass at 7.00 pm.  Members visit the housebound and those who would appreciate a visit.  New members are always welcome.  If you would like more information please contact the Parish Office.

The people we have helped:

We have visited about 35 local people/families on a regular basis and others when needed, and we made 1086 separate visits last year.  Our total visits were – families 193, people in their own homes 255, people in care homes 462, those with mental health problems 146, parishioners in hospital 17, asylum seekers 5, others 8.  We also provided transport by car on 124 occasions.  (SVP St Helen’s Crosby Conference Report 2015)
